My group of boys were excited to explore some new materials in the classroom today. I swapped out the beach sand and shovels that were in my sand table. We now have a very soft blue sand with some sea creatures. They loved playing with the animals and exploring how fine and soft the sand felt on their hands. What began as a construction company "working" and building a road quickly turned into "junk collectors." Jack, West and Earl enjoyed loading up their trucks and delivering the junk to an ever growing pile! Needless to say, classroom clean up took a bit longer today😀. We sang up like a rocket at circle time and read the book My Many Colored Days.
